If I have a Tradeskill level of 250 in Brewing on my Gnome Mage.......do I need to do the Taanan quest to get Tinkering to skill level 250?

Tinkering, Poison Making, and Alchemy are all independant of the one skill above 200 rule. You can max any one (or 2 of them for gnoem rogues) and still get one of th emain 7 skills above 200 without Tanaan Mastery AAs.

No, 250 tinkering does not require tanaan, but it does require hutzpa.

Just FYI, since someone mentioned Alchemy. It caps at 200. And, as someone already pointed out (indirectly), the ability to raise more than one tradeskill over 200 is done by gaining New Taanan AA's, there is no quest for that.
And they are right that you can raise Tinkering to 250 without needing the AA's if you've already gone over 200 in another skill.Comment
