I found 5 haze eyes in the baz and got a skill up on the first one (then went 4 for 5 on GVD's - woo!). =D
And Tart now has her tinkering trophy (hello primary item!).

Poofing with Skill ups?
Just to confirm that If I decide to be reckless and make lots of Collapsed Toolboxes to advance my beloved Gnomedeguerre's tinkering from 236 to 240 (and beyond) and just let the successes poof b/c of the lore status, that I will still skill up. I did this with EVB's on smithing.
I tried 30 or so with zero skill ups and while I know the mantra of RNG and small sample, one gets worried as ones stash of Coiled Springs dwindles.
BTW, points 233-236 came on 13 tries of molten metal cams sitting in Gunthak after I ran out of waterlogged riggings. It was nice to be able to gate my little G.D. Guerre back to civilization, though I will miss staring up at Ramma Podden.Andyhre playing Guiscard, 78th-level Ranger, E`ci (Tunare)

Yeah, I check for haze eyes all the time...few available right now for 2-2.5k each...I try to get them for under 2k if I can. I have 3 GVD's sitting on seller mule right now. =P

Well, I can confirm that if you are impatient and do a few Collapsed Toolboxes in a row, you can skill up despite getting the lore message.
