Anizok's Maximizing Device

If I get an Anizok's Maximizing Device can I use it to grow other people, and my pets, or is it self only?

both minimizing device and maximizing are targetable. i'd use tiny companion before using a charge of the minimizing device though if i were you

Actually, the plan is to use tiny companion and then add a few doses of Grow as well. Do that to a rat in one of the cities and it should end up about 3 feet high at the shoulder instead of 3 inches.

Not exactly tinkering related, but...

I charmed a giant in DL hoping to use Tiny Companion on it and run around with a mini-giant pet.

I cast the spell, it said the giant shrank, but I saw no visible difference.

I was very disappointed.


But, I did go to Steamfont, charm some kobold scouts, drakelings and stuff, cast Tiny Companion on them, and released them. A few hours later I ran through the zone again saw them, still shrunken. It was pretty funny-looking.

I charmed an elephant calf in South Karana and shrank it... it got quite small. Then I charmed an elephant and shrank it... the size didn't change. As near as I can tell those both use the same model in the same zone, but something must be different.

Sometimes it takes more than one shot....

Some things need 2 casts of shrink/grow to see a difference. Any gnome who has used a maximizer can verify this

I bought a maximizing device. I tried it both on my pet and on group members. It didn't work. It's not targetable, it's self only.

i find that hard to believe that the minimizer is targetable but not the maximizer. i use the minimizer on groupmates all the time.

You can find it hard to believe, but it is so. I don't think many people would accuse EQ of always making sense.
