You have nothing to complain about. I did 290, yes, 290 solstice robe combines last night and got NONE, ZIP, NADDA, SFA, Zilch, less than 1.

My last 400 robe combines netted me 8 skill ups total.

I will ahve 1 last attempt at tailoring before I quit EQ all together, this is insanely bad. 690 combines got me 8 skill ups. (194->202)

The skillup rate sucks. And I can complain all I want, it's free after all.

At least I'm not gonna quit EQ over this. I'm just gonna keep plugging away.

Robes on skillup is pretty crappy. The best stuff to skillup are reinforced acrylia and othmir (IMO), but ppl in bazaar are gorging prices on those stuff

Um when skilling up on robes you don't want success you want to fail. A success means you have used up an expensive gem studded chain. Regardless of how much they sell for in the bazaar if you skilling up on robes a success is a bad thing. Remember your not making robes to sell robes your making robes to get skill points.

I didn't plan to start solstice robes until 200 with my halfling tailor. Had to get my chanter up to 250 jewelling first, which I just did.

All I can say is thank God the chains are returned on failure...

what I was saying was after a certain point skilling up with robes, you start getting a good amound of successes which is bad. Befure the mad tradeskill rush, you could sell the robes and actually "make" money on a successfull combine, so technically successfull combines didn't hurt. . .

Now you can't really recoup the costs when you make a robe, cuz the market for robes is really depressed
