  • Tailoring stat?

According to the FAQ last updated in December:

While tailoring has been mentioned several times as needing DEX, at last check it was still not implemented.
Is this still true or has dex been implemented since then? As a rogue I'm going to feel awefully silly if it is since I take off dex gear to rais wis. ops:

Dex has no... I repeat NO play in Successes of Tailored items. I know this for sure as I was 8 for 8 with Fleeting Quivers when my skill was 210 and had a Dex of 140+. Fleeting Quivers are Trivial at 222.

According to many posts on these boards, there is NO stat which affects success rate. The higher of WIS/INT affects skillup rate only. DEX was rumored to be added, but it has not been confirmed for tailoring. (Works for fletching, though.)

I'm not asking about success rate. I know thats based off skill. I'm asking about skill-up rate.

          It doesn't.

Only helps 2 tradeskills...fletching and the rogue's poison.

The following I believe is from the new character creation screen info:

          Dexterity
Dexterity affects your chances for special melee capability such as combat effects and critical hits. It increases your chances to gain points in most combant skills. It is also a factor in determining how much damage you do with throwing weapons and archery.

Bard Only: High dexterity decreases the chance you will miss a note while playing a song.

Tradeskills: If you dexterity is higher than your intelligence or wisdom, it determines how quickly you gain skill in Fletching and Make Poison.
It's up to you, what you do will decide your own fate.
Make your choice now, for tomorrow may be far too late. -- Twisted Sister

had the information changed, the faq would have been updated.
