I decided to bite the bullet and start tailoring. Went and farmed some spring water, bought about 70. Made the dye, dropped a mint on ribbons, and began clicking. 91 total ribbon combines lined up, starting at 164 skill.

first stack, 1 skill. Say to myself, thats not too bad. Pottery took me like 50...

All told, got 14 skill from those 91 combines. I was dumbfounded. 178 tailoring, and very little pain.

Just need to get 13 more, then wait for the guild to get Shei for those lovely shears...

I was pleasantly surprised at about the same range also. I started at 162 (end of silver ribbons) and did 64 solstice robe combines. Only one lost chain (ie success) later I had gotten 14 points to 176. I'm assuming now is when it becomes difficult however. From looking at the skillup data it seems to be around this point that the skillups come painfully slow (3 stacks of imbued emerald and swatches per point or something awful).

I also had an amazing run, but in a more surprising skill range.

I was sitting at 192 and had enough components to attempt 58 various LoY robes.

To my amazement, I was staring at skill 200 with 12 attempts to be buried away untill I pump out some AA point. (Like that will ever happen)

46 attempts and 8 skillups.
1 in every 5.75 attempts.

Who says the RNG is mean?

Gotta love the RNG. Yesterday I got to experience both ends of the spectrum ...

80 wyvern hide mask attempts - 6 skill gains (209-215)
80 solstice robe attempts - 1 skill gain AND I succeeded 13 times!!! I had to stop and go make more chains. Guess I will bank the robes until the market comes back a little.

ugh rng was evil to me the past month....128 attempts at skill up at 198 and 0 skill ups

Oh well 129 was a skill up at least....too bad that 128 attempts cost me an arm and a leg ;(

Oh well rng owes me...working on set of 100 solstice robes now to combine for skill ups.....so at a normal rate I would hope 5-6 skills or at an you owe me rate I should get 10-12
