where is a good place to get HQ lion skins?

i been farming silks in EK and the lions don't drop anything except HQ and MQ cat and ruined lion.

HQ lion skins only drop off Highland lions in North Karana.
And the drop rate is not that what I can call common

I was silk farming and pelt faring for a few hours today. I noticed a few LQ or ruined, but no HQ. Went to check a vendor again and sure enough, there was one on Iago...go fgure. Merchant, the only true camped spawn of EQ.

Yes, HQ lion skins only drop off highland lions in NK.

They are on a 4-mob (maybe it's only 3, been a couple months since I got my fleeting quiver made) spawn table that includes griffons, griffennes, GrimFeather and I think Hill Giants. The Silver Griffon does not seem to share their spawn table. The spawn timer seems to be about 7 minutes or so.

As for drop rate of the HQ skins, I've seen 2 in 10 minutes and I've also spent upwards of 3 hours killing everything on their table as soon as SoW could get me to it and not had a single one drop (mid-50s ranger at the time, could track almost the entire zone if I stood in the middle).
