Tailoring Shears Question

I recently aquired the tailoring shears off Shei with the help of my guild. My question is this.. I have heard that you are unable to exceed the 250 skill with any type of percentage items. Is this true?

As it stands, I have a 220 skill atm, and with the 15% mod from the shears, that raises me to 253. I'm asking for the reason being.. should I even attempt to continue to raise my skill or have I "capped out". Any help would be appreciated!

It depends on what your obsession is. You will never get 250 if you stop, but you already have the highest success rate you'll get.

Sorry to say but you are pretty much capped

But who knows, this is Verant, they may change the way caps work or even up it so you may as well max it. All it means is instead of practicing on skillup items like othmir fur you can now skillup on items for good plat like Iceburrower and the PoP gear with the same chance as someone with 250.

Most folks believe that 252 is the maximum tailoring skill possible. Some believe it is 255. Either way you are at or very close to the maximum success rate on your tailoring combines.

SoE has confirmed that the max is 252.


I will continue to believe this, despite all the cries I hear of "You cant believe what SoE says!!!"
