Anyone know of a mod item that gives more than 5PCT ? ops:

Shei Shears have 15%...only a few select people manage to actually get them though as they drop from quite a nasty named mob on luclin.

Oh, you meant the OTHER kind. :-)

Geerlok Sewing Contraption = 5%
Akhevan Shadow Shears = 15% (Rare-ish drop from a fiendishly hard raid mob)

I assume you're refering to VT... well, the Shears actually drop in Akheva Ruins from Shei Vinitras, a DTing, lvl 66 MoB surrounded by massively mana draining traps whom spawns a lvl 60 MoB everytime ANYTHING dies in the room (PCs, NPCs, pets) and DTs every 2 minutes or so.
I went on a raid for it once and we spent such a long time trying to recover from mana drain traps that kept going off that Shei despawned =(

Apperantly on the level in difficulty as Grummus and Vulak'Aerr ring event

The Shears drops in Akheva? I was under the impression they dropped in VT.

Easy to get confused ... the 15% smithing gloves drop in VT. In any case, not only is Shei an obnoxious raid target, but the shears really are rare. Here and there on the site are stories of 3 ... 5 ... 10 ... or more Shei kills with no shears dropping. As hard as raising tailoring is, its still probably easier and faster than getting the shears. =\

Guild took down Shei about 2 months ago and he dropped 2 (yes two) Shears. There is always hope! Nice for the 15% mod and not too bad for the stats either.

Last time I fought Shei the mobs only spawned if He/SHe/It killed something either by DT/Spell or melee.
