A quick question about the Tailoring Trophy

I heard that the stats modifier aren't applied if you place the Trophy in the Ammo slot I was curious if the same is true for the Tailoring Modifier as well??

From what I understand, none of the stats applies on items equipped in the ammo slot.

I have been using the tailoring needle to up my charisma for purchasing from merchants.

On a couple of occasions I have forgotten to switch into range slot when buying. The most memorable of these was when I bought 6 stacks of Coldain Velium Temper from the merchant in Thurg.

Each stack cost 100p more than it would have done with the needle in the range slot.

I tested the Ammo slot for my Needle a few days ago and no stats work there. While only assuming, I would probably be right in saying that the 5% tailoring increase you get from the Needle does not work in the Ammo slot either.

I wonder if it's worth /feedbacking a request to have trophies give their effect from the range slot?

I occasionally get a Summoned Coldstone from a mage; I put that in my ammo slot. It gives both the Ultravision effect and the AC bonus there, if I remember right. The Ultravision definitely works; I'd notice otherwise! I'm not 100% on the AC bonus though.

I'll check it more carefully next time I get a Coldstone.

The point is that if this is correct, then some items work from ammo, some don't. Maybe we should feedback that all items should work from that slot.

the Coldstone provides no AC from the AMMO slot. It just gives the UV effect.

I think the best way to test out if you get the bonus from the ammo slot would be to get a level 210 tailor with their GM needle place the needle in the ammo slot and try to make an etherial silk swatch or something like that which requires an effective skill of 220. If it says you are to low then you're not getting the 5% from the needle, if it combines then you are getting the 5%. Unfortunately there are not a lot of people at 210 tailoring with their needle.

From what I understand, it does not count your trophy when checking for trivial when making a skill up. I thought it was your actual skill.

It counts the % from Needle Geerloc or Sheers when makeing etherial. I believe your thinking of the Aid Grimel Quest as for not counting the skill modifier.

Not exactly sure what you mean here, but I can tell you that with a required effective skill of 220 I was able to make the ethereal swatches at 210 with my geerlock on but not without it. It is basically a cheap and easy way to get from 210 to 212.

Ok, I may be beating a dead horse here, but I was thinking while fishing (very dangerous combination there)

and posted this on the Fishing Forum

                        http://mboards.eqtraders.com/upload/...threadid=10992

So I'm wondering again, since the skill mod on bait works in the ammo slot, does that necessarly mean that it would work on the Trophy items as well?? Or am I comparing apples to organges??

Stat bearing items in Ammo slot does not count. Now, if you are fishing and have bait in that slot, it will use up that bait first and then anything in Inventory.

Guess I might have gotten you a bit turned around on your Fishing post.
