    The many pages of EQtraders

I did finally find all this information by following links from links that lead to other links and double back on themselves to lead to yet more links...

Thank you for the assistance. Unforunately for me I misread the "re-sizing velium" page and thought it meant I had to use a velium temper for eerything, so I made from scratch something like 2-3 stacks of velium tempers before I finally located the chisel (from the lizard merchant in the back room of the top floor of the Pool room in POK) and discovered, I needn't have spent 400+pp on making all those tempers in the first place. *Sigh*

This seems to be how I do everything. I make too much of things that I don't need so many of, or sometimes don't need at all. Organization is not one of my strong points.

I'm getting there... I freed up a couple backpacks of stuff by reducing down the velium bricks into stackable bits. I'm sure I lost a lot of volume doing that, but I needed the space. Now I have a little bit of room for the Acrylia that I have to start farming...

Fortunately, there are a TON of recipes that use the tempers so you could either hold on to them to make rings, studs or boning for high end tailoring (Arctic Wyvern and Black Panther are just a couple of examples) or sell them in the bazaar and maybe make a little bit off them.

        Velium tempers

Yep. I'm hangin on to them. Took me several hours to make that many. No way i want to go through that again if I don't have to. Or if I do have to make more I'd rather pick up where I left off (Still have 2+ stacks of Coldain heaters in the bank too! HAHA) rather than start over from the begining again.

Well you can either buy the Coldain Velium Tempers in Thurgadin for 26PP each or make them yourself for about 10PP each, with a Cha of about 110. Takes a while to make them but I've found it worth it myself

            imho

The only way to be a profitable tailor during your 200+ skill career is to be a halfling.

The cutlural Leatherfoot bags of all sizes will sell for a profit, and to be completely honest with you, I started 10 slot haversacks at 203 skill.

Between 203 skill and 250 skill I have experienced an extremely good rate of successes making these bags, with over 100 attempts thusfar and a grand total of 4 (YES four) failures.

considering the costs involved in making these bags, as well as the sales price (6k on tunare) I have realized profits far beyond my wildest dreams.

This has enabled me to take my formerly farmed tailoring career into the bazaar and I bought all my supplies from about 220 and up -

It is too bad that other cultural recipes do not have a "cash cow" item as the halfling culutral - but hang in there! I also make Ice Silk armor, Pop Armor, and I now do combines of various stuff for a fee which makes having the 250 skill very profitable.

Not all Druids at my lvl have cash enough to buy spells and good gear and I attribute tailoring as the reason why I do -

Things I've made money on with 200 + geerlok tailoring as a high elf:

LoY robes (especially Robe of Tears, Robe of Impulse)
LoY ribbons (making other racial plat ribbons and selling at 200 pp per)
Arctic Wyvern (hats are good sellers)
              Acrylia Studded (cloaks sell well)

I'm blocked at current skill due to lack of AA, but I've basically done a casual mix of these combines as well as some solstice robes since I hit 187 on LoY ribbons. The biggest thing I can say is make LoY robes and pitch your product. The cost of the low end robes is negligible, and you can sell them for 300-1k.

                Halfling

My husband made a halfling Cleric (about level 26 now) and I have a halfling Rogue (level 11 or 12 only) - but neither of us play these toons very much... It's my druid that I love, and she is a Wood Elf, level 56. I'm not starting her over as a halfling. LOL!! Would be nice if the other cultural stuff was more desired, but the POP armor has all but made this REDICULOUSLY expensive armor obsolete. *sigh* Hardly anyone wants it now. By the time I can do it, no one at all will want it. But maybe I will be able to make the IceBurrower armor instead...

Maybe in my moments of boredom I can work on the Rogue's tailoring, just to see what I can do with it...

                Thanks for the input.
