My son took his 20-something monk (or, actually, had me port her) to EK/NK to hunt pelts for me. He was whining about needing some plat, so I offered to buy any quality pelt for 5p. I've never, repeat NEVER, gotten an HQ lion pelt to fall. He had three inside the span of an hour. He "gave" me the first two at the agreed price, and then while I was out manning the grill, he sold the third one to someone else for 200p.
Needless to say it was a while before he got any more twinking from me!

I don't know why, but these things seem to never drop for anyone above 30 or so. I've also hunted for hours and hours there with my level 51 ranger (tracking of 200) and killed a billion highland lions to no avail. And yet, another guildy can reliably take his low level alt to the zone, and gets several. They ARE rare for him too, but at least he sees them once in a while. If we ever need a HQ lion skin, we always know who to call. Ahh...the verrant programmers are cruel! Okay, so maybe I'm being paranoid, but it seems like us rangers can never find what we need for the fleeting quivers ourselves.

I finally got one! I have a 25 druid I keep there and log on occassionally to hunt for highland lions. I've been trying off and on for a few weeks now. I didn't count how many HLL I killed, but I finally got one.
Now to find an aviak egg and a tailor good enough to make a quiver.
