I have to say, tailoring is one of the HARDEST trades to do, and since I've gotten all of them fairly high and maxed a few, I know...

Hehe the RNG hates me.... foraging 199 but anyone with lower can scrounge more oak barks, morning dews, or whatever item it is I need... and last night lost 2 of 11 barks making tannin, and 2 of 12 dews making mithril boning for wood elf cultural tries. But on the bright side, 12 attempts on bracers yielded me a point! (191) YAY!

I buy excellent sabertooth hides when I can, which isn't often on Lanys server - so figure 24 to 48 hours of solid farming and/or foraging for one lousy point. Sigh...

I salute your fortitude and determination, and GRATS AGAIN!

Well, it was a mixture of things.

- Mixture of Robes & Halfling cultural mainly until 220ish

- From 220 - 235, Velious Tailoring (because successful combines were more consistant) mainly to keep the funding up. Haze & Black Panther armor, Drake Belts, Tigeraptor Cloaks and AW skullcaps & cloaks. These seemed to have a market from time to time.

- 235 - 245, built up for another big session of robes but combines succeed about 50% of the time. Skillups were pretty good, but dont recommend this route, if plat is an issue or you have a pocket JCM3 chanter on hand. Resale (at least on our server) is low or barely breakeven. I also mixed in Leatherfoot Haversacks and some of the higher end halfling cultural armor, on request.

- 245 - 250, built up supplies to push through with AW masks at the end.

I stayed away from the Acrylia Reinforced armor for 3 reasons.

1) Materials were too expensive to bazaar and resale without loss.
2) Time to farm these materials wasnt available to me.
3) Other materials (mostly velious) were more interesting to make and sell.

Apparently, twinks out there on Lanys are abundant and well funded.

Congrats, that's quite an accomplishment. I'm stuck at 225 myself.

I've found that Acrylia Reinforced sells well enough that I can more than break even if I shop for the low prices on hides and/or acrylia.

I think I spent 5 hours in the caves with Rockhoppers up (clearing all three caves in the back and a few in the tunnel too) and ended up with 14 Flawless hides.

There really needs to be a nice zone where the Rockhoppers are in the mid 50s and only drop HQ, Superb and Flawless hides.
