I used around 5 or 600 swatches myself. That was with 230 Int. I thought I'd be happy after wu's.... acrylia studded is just a pain.
ignore the rant if you only wanted general idea of my swatch count:
I end up with 10 - 15 flawless hides for every 2 or 3 superb hides, after hours of farming. The acrylia farming... 3 - 5 hours of farming = 3 backpacks (10 slot) of bricks = 20 studs (no failures) = 20 combines of masks that don't sell (more chances for skill ups) or = 5 cloaks or 4 tunics.
If I farm, I usually do the 20 combines. If I buy all the supplies I always go for tunics and cloaks. Usually just break even, but it's nice to just see the money in the bank.
Anyway... I plan to just keep on griping about acryila for a while, but I still want to break 200 with tailoring, 178 now. I see it as a challange I want to do, but don't like doing heheh
