16 bank slot = higher price for player made backpacks?

I'm betting there will be an initial rush of ppl buying both trader satchels and 10 slot backpacks for their new bank slots, so possibly. I know I'm planning on outfitting all my chars with 4 new trader satchels and 4 new 10 slot backpacks.

I'm sorry for all you money makers out there, but when I get online today, I plan on offering my services to any and all that want 10 slot backpacks made. Free... if they wish to donate they can but I do not plan on saying in OOC or Shout... "10 slot Backpacks made for a donation"... I do plan on saying in OOC or Shout... "10 slot Backpacks made, bring the HQ Pelt/Hide and the pattern and I'll combine."

Seems pretty cut and dry. Why worry about making something as simple and as easy to get now with HQ Rockhopper Hides so plentyful?

Yup to the baazar I go to buy 8 traders Satchels they hold anything and are a whopping 2PP per. Altho i did manage to grab 13 perfect hopper hides while messing in DS peaks the other day.

The problem with Trader satchels is they are no drop, and sometimes it's convenient to switch stuff between characters a bag at a time.

However, Deluxe toolboxes are available for pretty cheap, so I don't see why 10 slot backpack prices should increase (at least not by more than 10-20pp, if only for the 10% weight reduction.)

I just filled my 2nd bank of 8 slots with 7 handmade back packs and my coldain sewing kit...my tailoring mule has handmade back packs as well - soooo much easier for switching out stuff and not worrying about which character has which container.

Deluxe toolboxes are clearly the way to go. Two vendors sell them in PoK, and there's banks in the zone as well. This is a no brainer if you ask me unless you want to make your own tailored backpacks.

The other reason for run on 10-slot backbacks is think of all the new twink frogs that need bags.

There were very few High Quality Bear/Hopper hides for sale last night in the Rathe and Sullon Zek bazaar. I managed to sell about 20 hides between the two servers for 75 plat each. heh

I agree. For a long time I would see only 3 or 4 HQ bear skins in the bazaar for 25-35, while there was easily 200+ HQ rockhopper hides for 10-15pp each. But somehow they all caught wind of the fact that they can be used for handmade backpacks (probably the days I was selling them in the bazaar, and only buying the skins whenever I needed them ), and the price of the HQ rockhopper jumped to 25-35.

Which when you think about it, doesn't make any sense at all. The main reason HQ bear were expensive was not just what they made, but the rarity. HQ rockhopper hides are EASY to get. While soloing my level 10ish monk in shadeweavers, I picked up 10 of em.

But oh well, people are greedy. Thats nothing new. Regardless, I'm finding that acrylia reinforced armors are a good market right now. LOTS of new froglok alts to twink. I must have sold 8 sets last night alone. Managed to get from 233 to 240 on just making the armor, AND making a lot of money to boot!

I was selling 75pp for backpacks, or 30pp + pelt, or free for 2 pelts.

Didn't last long at all, ran out of pelts (well down to 10, but had friends and guildies).

No one had taken me up on the bring a pelt one, even though there were a few pelts under 45pp in the zone I was in, bazaar (lazy people).

So only made 500pp or so profit, but not bad for 20 minutes, was too anxious to get back to my newbie froggy to keep selling

Last night in PoK I said /ooc "WTS handmade backpack 75pp each. PST"

15 minutes later I had 1500pp no HQ hopper hides and tells still coming in for backpacks.

So I go to DSP this morning to pick up a few more pelts but only got 6 flawless and 5 superb along with several MQ/LQ pelts. Go figure. :roll:
