  • What's Fastest Tailoring Route if PP No Object ?

Assuming pp is not a problem, what's the fastest way to skill up? I did this so far
Buy mandrake roots in PoK to 66
Buy spider silks in bazaar, other stuff from vendors to 131
Buy crystalline silks, kiolas, manas etc in bazaar to 158 (Wu's)
Buy ribbons, steamfont water etc to 187 (actually had to farm some of the 183 - 187 materials, lichenclover etc as not enuf sold in bazaar)

Cost to 158 = 10kish and about 5 hours, 159 - 187, cost about 15kish (paying 100pp per lichenclover hurts!) and about another 5 hours, most of which was farming stuff.

What next ? Basically looking for ideas to progress that take the least time, not worried what it will cost. Thanks.

Well, next step is a little harder.

I would suggest solstice robes, and paying relatively huge amounts of money for all the stuff. Offer 20 pp per imbued emerald, 5 pp per celestial essence, 30 pp per blessed dust of tunare, whatever your server cost is for silk swatches, and buy a few gem studded chains. If you can get a few druids imbuing for you, and have the bankroll to keep up with it, you could probably do it this way.

The other option I can think of is start doing arctic wyvern and get your smithing high enough to make the velium studs required.

Lastly, if you are just trying to get 240 and really don't care at all about money, you can just buy up everything that you can combine in the bazaar and combine that. That is your best bet for least time.

Visit velks / cc and convince people to farm velium for you.
Visit cs and hire newbs to farm wyverns for you.
Sit your rear and fish in cs since no one farms cod.

Then pray the rng is nice to you.

If you are interested in the least amount of precombines, look at Acrylia Reinforced masks/bracers/gorget.
Expect to pay around 200pp for a Flawless Rockhoppwer and 25-45pp per small brick of Acrylia.

You may be able to get 30-60pp for any one of those successes.

Edit| I personally am working on the robes because the attempts cheaper than the alternatives and I can still make 1250pp on a successful robe which offsets the cost of the emeralds. Granted this is far more time consuming but I dont have unlimited funds

Solstice robes are certainly not fast to make, but gathering silk is easy, imbuing emeralds (depending on druid/cleric availability) is easy, tunic patterns are easy, embroidering needles are often found on PoP vendors (someone must have been skilling up smithing) is easy, gem studded chains (depending on JC ability) are easy...just have a high fail rate. This is all *easy*, just not fast.

Fast, I would have to say, is arctic wyvern. Catching cobalt cod may or may not be time consuming. Wyvern hides are relatively painless. Velium is abundant in Crystal Caverns and velks. Making studs sucks, but is fairly simple (albeit expensive). These are combined in a coldain sewing kit.

I prefer othmir fur caps. Othmir are abundant in CS and drop furs uncommonly. Silver thread and patterns are easy to attain, as is the vial of clear mana needed to create them (combined in a Coldain Sewing Kit). Relatively inexpensive too, depending on how you acquire the Othmir furs.

Depending on your class/race, you can make cultural robes. The supplies for them are relatively abundant on vendors throughout the world.

            re

with cost no objective, head to bazaar and buy

            1. all flawless rockhopper hides and all acrylia. Make boning, tannin and get patterns. combine until you run out.

            2. all arctic wyver hides and all velium. Make studs. Go fish for cod (if it is not in bazaar and usually it isn't).

            3. all cobalt drake hides and all velium. Make boning. Buy drake eggs (these are almost always in bazaar nowadays on my server). If none for sale, head to Western wastes and forage away.

            4. Begin Solstice robes as described above.

Honestly, if i had a no holds barred bank roll, i would start with rockhopper hides and then try solstice robes. I have found those to be the least time comsuming.

If cost realy is no object...

Hire tunar worshipers to imbune emeralds for you
Hire someone to make the emeralds into blessed tunare silk swatches
Hire a jewler to make the hoops for ya (get 10 at a time, perferably 20)
Hire a few people to go out and hunt silk for ya.
Buy every spider silk and swatch in the bazaar.
Hire someone to make all of that celestial essence the people your hiring will have to use, don't waste their time on that.

Finaly, convince a younger relative (i.e. kid brother, cousin, kid next door, whatever) to work $5 an hour to combine this stuff for you.

...ok, returning to the real world now. Buy all the acrylia in the bazaar. Break it down to peices, make studds till 188, then reinforced until 240. Buy all the hides and PL people on rockhoppers in DS till you get all the hides you need. There never seems to be enough hides for sale, but there is always more acrylia.
Tailoring, why did I ever start tailoring? *sob*

If you have several hundred kpp to spend, subcontracting is a very viable and efficient plan.

I chose the Ceremonial solstice robes from 182, because all can be found anytime at vendors + bazaar. 192-212 i will do the ethereal thingie, because i have the +15% modifier, but if i had not i would go one doing robes. I'm a HIE cleric though, so imbuing is not a problem for me. I guess imbued emeralds can be bought in bazaar anyway.

Haha, it's funny that you should say that... I offered my brother five bucks an hour to forage for me.
He didn't understand he'd only have to hit a maximum of 4 keys at a time. Probably didn't care, what with free money and all.

                    Sheesh, kids these days.

hahaha. I did just that six months ago. But in the last few days checking the bazaar I found:

                      Imbued Emerald 50-70pp
                      Blessed Dust of Tunare 100pp
                      Spider Silk 12pp
                      Silk Swatch 20pp
                      Celestial Essence 5pp
                      Gem Studded Chain: none

Those are best prices, except for a few people that had like 5 or fewer spider silks each. Times have changed.
