  • question on sylvan berry's

Hail and well met everyone. I have checked the entire loot table on ala for lfay and have not found 1 mob that drops or is listed as dropping sylvan berry's yet their are HUNDREDS for sale in the bazaar. i dont have 50pp to pay per berry...can someone tell me where in the zone you can forage them..as i have gotten 2 near the MM zone line..and what mobs drop them? Thank you soo much!

Also looking for the other item for High elf robes...i will have to go check the name of the foraged item and zone etc. Thanks!

here they are Firiona Vie Lichenclover ...any idea what mob drops them and best part to forage them? ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Sylvan berries are loot off of crushbone orcs in GF I think. I haven't hunted orcs there since robes went live but I think that's the mob to look for. As for the Litchenclover, you want to hunt Drovlargs. Any drovlarg will do. I found that the camp at about -1000 by 0 in FV was a good place to hunt them solo as a 51 Shaman with my pet and a KEI. I found the drop rate to be about 7 to 10 per hour on the litchenclover.

I have looted Sylvan Berries & Morning Dew from Brownies (inc. Guards) and Faeries (inc. Gearheart?) in Lfay. Those are the only sources I have as I don't have a foraging skill, and not crazy enough to pay 50-100pp in the bazaar for one.

have never looted a sylvan berry from a crushbone orc, nor have i ever heard of anyone saying 'i looted this from an orc, what's it for', nor have i seen any on gfay merchants (which is where those noobs would be selling them, if they're saleable).

and i think the only zone wher eyou forage them is lfay.

They can only be foraged in LFay.

I have personally had them drop off the orcs in LFay (Not GFay or Crushbone). Drop rate was about 1 in 4.

I have also heard that the Fairies can drop them, but I slaughtered a couple hundred Fairies and have not seen one. Killed about 20 pixies and didn't see any drop off them.

As far as I can tell most of the LoY cultural components are both foraged in a zone, and dropped by only mobs in that zone. For elves the sylvan berries are in LFay only. I've heard of them off orcs, pixies, and fairies. The lichenclovers are in FV only. I know they come off drolvargs, would suspect other mobs as well.

I strongly suspect that all LoY dye items drop off random mobs in the zone they can be foraged in, and not from any particular mobs.

This is certainly true of Honey Berries.

Having said that I have only looted Maneater Buds from Maneating Plants in Swamp of No Hope and not from other mobs - but as I was (with my druid) tracking the maneating plants, and hardly killed any other mobs, that is hardly surprising.

                  But, but

In Erud's Crossing, I occassionally take advantage of the fact that Seahorse Roe now drops to whip up a batch of Fizzy Odus Juice, and while I indiscriminately slaughter spiders, snakes, bats, zombies, skeletons and madmen, I have only ever seen the Roe drop from snakes and spiders. It might just be insanely rare on the other mobs, but I suspect it is not on their drop table.

I can confirm Sylvan Berries come off Brownies RARELY and off the Orcs in Lfay at a rate of about 6-8/hour is you clear all 3 camps.

The faeries in Lfay do drop both Morning dews and Sylvan berries on occasion. After about 30 mins to an hour of AE'ing them, I can walk off with 6 berries and 12 dews on average. May not seem like alot, but it's more than a High Elf can forage

Seahorse roe seems to be a fairly common forage -- BUT you must be underwater to forage it. My druid was there foraging for seahorse roe and fishing up Barren Flounder and I found that I got Seahorse Roe more than 75% of the time on underwater forages. I had no success foraging it when not underwater, but once I discovered how easily I could forage it underwater I stopped trying aboveground. You MUST be completely submerged to get the forage.

So far it seems to be the easiest/most prolific forage of all the LoY robe items.
