raw skill vs modified skill ?

Hiya peeps,

Long time since I post here again.
I got my raw skill up to 226 and I got Shears(15 percent mod) from Shei.
So using a calculator my modified skill is 259,9.

Does raising raw skill help anything anymore?


As my guild whacked RZtW recently I hope to be able to try elemental combines on the coming weeks and see how hard they are.
I did try making GM needle and whooops succeeded on first try.

With the shears equipped, you've got the max chance of success already, so skillups won't help in that department.

When you hit 244 then you'll have max chance of success with your trophy equipped.
