I was bored at work and started thinking about the number of clicks it took me to reach a skill of 240 in tailoring from 188. So I added it up, nothing scientific and the numbers don't take a lot of things into consideration but it was fun and thought provoking.
I will use metal bits to show how I figured the clicks. Metal bits take two peices of ore and water flask to make. So thats one click to pick up a piece of ore from your bag, another click to drop it in the forge, two more clicks for the other piece of ore and the same for the water. Then you click combine and drop the bit itself in a bag for a total of 8 clicks. If an item had a subcombine, I included that as well. I didn't include any failure rates, opening/closing containers of buying items from vendors. Still a lot of clicks though.
Imbued Emerald - 1 click (casting the spell)
Enchanted Silver Bar - 1 click
Metal Bits - 8 click
Celestial Essence - 6
Silk Swatch - 6
Blessed Dust of Tunare - 15
Sacred Tunare Silk - 34
Worked Silver chain - 17
Gem Studded Chain - 54 (I did consider a 50% fail rate here so 27 clicks times 2)
Now with a success you use up a gem studded chain and when you fail you get it back so you have a different number of subcombine clicks and I split those up with my numbers for success and failures.
196 Success - 171 clicks each
948 Failures - 117 clicks each
196*171 = 33,516 clicks for successes
948*117 = 110,916 clicks for failures
33,516+11,0916 = 144,432 total clicks :shock:
