Flawless Tae Ew Hides - Lookin for Confirmed drop locations

I have searched to the best of my ability through the threads and haven't been able to find a solid source of which lizards drop Flawless Hides. Been camping 4C area for 12 hours straight and seen tons of blood, but no flawless hides. Can anyone who's actually fought there and looted a flawless hide give any insight on which mobs exactly drop them? Them brown lizards are quite annoying and the green ones are very annoying and I'd like to leave quickly if possible

Now that the experience range in this zone has been improved, I thought it try huntin here to see if I can gather some of the tradeskill regents. Any advice as to what camps drop what regents?

yes, please, for the love of tailoring, someone tell us what camp, what mob and how often they drop. Thul Tae Ew Lizard? Is he a rare spawn? Does he drop one or more? How often? I've only been to CT a few times, but was there for HOURS and never saw ONE hide drop. Lots of blood and scales though.

Brown lizards only, and about 1/300 drop one.
Brown Temple and 4C have the highest frequency of Browns that I know of in the zone

Saw some drop from the brown lizards when doing the walk-the-gnome questl. Level 60 lizards. Don't ask me what names they have. If you hunt there, you should know them or know where they are. And name is irrelevant also. What is important is that they are level 60, they hit hard are immune to mez. Hides are ultra rare drops.

4c = four corners = spot number 2 on this map.


If its green, it will never drop a hide. If it is brown, it only seems like it will never drop a hide. If you are colorblind, please ask your group what ones are brown.

Not true on the green, I received a hide off a Tae Ew Protector in the old silvered temple (now where the crusader spawns). It was a higher level protector than usual, couldn't be mezzed with dazzle needed GoK so it was at least level 56.

Other than that almost all the hides have come from brown lizards, have gotten 6 in 4c and 3 from the old silvered temple.

Based upon my experience I would suggest going up the old archon pyramid in 4C. The top level has four amygdalan protectors. The second to the top level has eight brown lizard spawns (all Thul Tae Ew ____). Each of these lizards is a roamer, but only roams on half of whatever side it is on (so no lizard overlaps another). We just go round and round that level killing them all. We were there for an hour only last time and picked up 2 pristine scales, 1 flawless hide, and 4 chunks of cazicite. While this was a better than average trip for us, I do think this is the best spot for acquiring CT tradeskill items. I would guess these items are just more likely to drop off higher level mobs.
