• New way to get to (95) <-- easy

On www.eqtraders.com it says to make boots you need 2 greyhopper hides and one boot pattern. But that recipe is wrong, only one greyhopper hide is needed. Therefore One greyhopper hide + bootpattern make boots and they triv out at (95). just an easy way - better than wu's 8)

Considering that Wu's trivials at 158, and Greyhopper only goes to 95, there's a huge difference there...

Anyone want to confirm one hide anyway?

says one greyhopper hide for boots....

i'm guessing that what he means by 'easier than wu's' is you can get a few more points after 88 before diving into wu's. heck, with tailoring, i'd use this to get me those 7 points. ^_^

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldnt it be smarter/easier/saner to do quivers to 115? 1 pelt and one pattern...

          Just a thought

getting sufficient hq cat pelts to do quivers to 115 might be a bit annoying, although with the addition of stonebrunt, and the "easier more friendly" skilling up now, it might not be too bad. Going from 80's straight into wu's without doing crystaline would just be ugly, unless you're a chanter.

Sorry, that's what I get for not verifying that it said two. Thanks.

Instead of Wu's, I'm betting that he meant to say easier than cured silk.

Another reason I wouldn't go the quiver route now is that quiver patterns cost around a plat each and if you want to sell successes you need empty inventory slots to carry them. I would go from greyhopper to crystalline silk now that the option exists, although when I was at that stage there wasn't anything that trivialed above quivers. :P

After getting to 76 on Woven Mandrake I did Crystalline Silk Armor and some Quivers when I had a stack of HQ Cat pelts. Once I was at 115, Crystalline Silk till 132(?) and then I'm jumping into Wu's to 158. Depending on price and rarety I'll do Nightmare Strings to 162(? again) and maybe Velium Fur padding for the 8th Shawl to 176. Then I'll try and make the 6th Shawl.

I don't think many people skill up on greyhopper hides; they want hopper hides for either making padding or higher end tailoring in general, so greyhopper hides are often found easily on vendors. I was happy to do as much of them as I could.

Greyhopper hide boots are also one pelt and one pattern, and fit inside containers. And if you're farming Marus Seru for padding material, you're going to get a load of greyhopper hides anyway...
