  • Tae Ew Hide Sack success rates

I just got my first Flawless Tae Ew Hide and doused it in blood to make a Hardened Lizard Hide. When I get my next one I am going to have a friend attempt to craft a sack for me.
What kind of success rate should I expect. Is it similar to the Tae Ew Armor/Shields? If so then I feel it is well worth the risk to make it.

    Skill up chances.

There is very little information availble for success rates for this kind of combine, since the hides are ultra rare. I know of one combine made by a friend of mine. At tailoring approximately 205, he failed.

Here is some free advice. Unless you have your heart set on the bag, I'd recommend making leggings. They have over 100 hp when you take stamina into account. Any monk or BST would give their eye teeth for them. The bag is nice, but the legs are insane.

Yeah the hides seem so rare it'd be hard to create any statistical meaning. At around 220-225 skill I was 1 for 1 on the tae ew bag, but it took like 6 months to get components for one attempt.

I'm 1 / 1 on the bag now at 248 skill, and have enough components to try another. Havent hit combine on the second attempt tho since my monk (velium farmer) now has enough WR bags and I'm debating trying the leggings.

          Thanks friends.

I see a lot of different opinions on the best uses for these hides.
I would like the bag simply because it is an unusually rare item. I have some Tink bags and Haversacks along with my GM's satchel and Rallic Pack but I want to get rid of my EE Bag and add 2 slots. I got really really lucky the other day and found the flawess hide in the bazaar for 200pp  I figure it may take a while but I will eventually get another hide. Good thing they are so rare since they don't stack.
Making them into legs may be somewhat profitable but I am not in need of the money and as a friend said "Armor becomes hand-me-downs but bags are forever". Too true is say.

I've made 3/3 on bags, 1/1 on legs with 250 + trophy. I hope this will never end.

Out of interest, what did you sell for?
