  • Embroidery Needle Bug

Just wondering if I'm going crazy, or if this has happened to anyone else..

Scenario: Throwing together whack loads of Dire Wolf Furs for bag combines.. mysteriously, halfway through, the kit stops accepting my combine! Odd I say! Odd! What does a halfling do? He zones to fix the problem.. OH NOS!1!! I said.. my needle is gone!

Happened 3 or 4 times in as many days.. anyone else?

Are you doing these combines in the bazaar? there is a thread in the general forum about random DNCs, try reading that... and not combining in the bazaar for the near future!

Matter of fact, I was this time. Can't remember exactly for the other few, but its probable.

i've had multiple problems doing any tradeskills in the bazaar lately. lost countless small pieces of velium and smithing chisels (which are lore, so can't keep a back up in the bank, grrrrrrrrr)

didn't lose my embroidery needle, but have lost some tufts

no more tradeskills for me in the bazaar, just not worth it

Why would you want to do combines in a laggy zone anyway? If you want to offer up the items you combine successfully? Find a nice quiet room in SH and then run to the Bazaar when complete. If you want to watch for Auctions while doing combines then have fun with the Lag. Although I would think that your combining items would keep you from seeing alot of chat on channels.

Me, I stay as far away from the Bazaar as possible, unless I'm making a trade for someone or giving farmed items I don't need to other tradeskillers.

The seemingly random dropping of traders in The Bazaar means there are fewer people in the zone. It takes me about 5 minutes to zone, so I used to do all my combines in the Bazaar. There is zero lag near the Arena.

If you’re working on smithing, the lack of a weight restriction in the bazaar really helps. That darn ore gets really heavy really quick. I tried smithing in the bazaar yesterday and went LD without my bar ever turning yellow, much less red. So I decided to just do my combines in smaller amounts in PoK.

personally, when i turn my clip plane all the way down, close the window, all the way up, close the window, all the way down, close the window (you get the idea) about four times, i have no lag in the bazaar at all. the trick is to close the window between each adjustment, and end it with the clip plane all the way down.

one of the reasons i used to like to do combines there is i could also auction my leatherfoot haversacks while "working". way boring to sit there, with nothing to do, but auction........................

so, i sure hope they get this bug fixed soon!

The Bazaar seems to have real issues recently. In addition to the random DNC bug, I had a problem one day where I couldnt mem any spells in the Bazaar. I'd forget a spell, pick up a spell gem from the spellbook, click it on the slot, it would give the memorizing whatever spell message and run the status bar... and then nothing. Empty spell slot still. I ended up having to zone to SH to gate. =P
