Skill-Up Rates 200-250

Going to list my skill up rates from 215+. Thanks to everyone that posted theirs as well, without seeing these posts and identifying 'hope', it would be almost impossible to continue sometimes. Post crystalline silk I practiced Velious leathers to 200. 200-215 I practiced Solstice Robes which I do not have the data for here (they were similar to 215+, no surprises)

99% Solstice Robes after 215
Intellegence 276 (280 if I happened to have a KEI)
NO Geerlock for any combines

I commend all GM Tailors out there, especially those training recently with the advent of the Bazaar. How much for that rockhopper hide? :shock:

I haven't been tracking things well but from 187 to 206 where i'm currently at I seem to be averaging 1 skill up per batch which is anywhere from 17-20 combines depending on how the robe subcombines go. I have had a couple times when I did a batch and didn't get any skill ups but I've also had one batch where i got 3, and 2 batches where I got 2. So far it's been slow but steady. With the robes still selling for a reasonable price the cost hasn't been too bad and with my success rate starting to go up now I'm actually starting to see a profit after selling the robes.

Point #210... Where are you???

I've done in excess of 150 combines to try to pop this point... still hasn't happened. I did a combination of velious leathers, Solstice Robes and LoY Robes.

Has anyone had a longer bad luck streak on a point? If so, how many combines?

Please share some info... my sanity is LONG gone.

I haven't personally had a worse streak in tailoring -- my worst point to date is 108 combines. But I'm only at 194.

But I have had worse streaks in other skills. 250-some combines to get point 192 in JC was the worst.

And I've heard of people going well over 300 attempts without a skillup (I think I remember seeing someone say they had gone some 500 combines for one point on shadowscream armor for smithing at one point).

So while it certainly is painful, it'll come, don't worry about that.

Had a pretty bad streak of 169 getting point 206. Was doing whatever I could get my hands on, but it was mostly High Elf Robes. Then of course I got 207 on the next combine. Wacky RNG.

This list makes me cry.

My last ~10 skill ups all took me well over 60 combines each and I have a Wisdom of 320.

So I watch the numbers in this thread and get motivated again and hope to finally get some skills. Then I log on to EQ, make 60 combines with no skill up and am fed up again.

My experience 210 to 217

210 was a hell point for me... up until that point I had never thought to keep track of my number of combines per skill up or to check and see what others had experienced.

Then there was POINT 210. I will never forget this one. It was somewhere in the neighborhood of 200+ combines :shock:

191 to 192 was my worst, little over 300 combines to get that stupid skillup, almost as many as the 192-200.
And this was before luclin, so no rockhopper and stuff like that, just plain old othmirs and arctic wyvern and cultural.

316 Solstice robe combines to get from 184 to 185 for my cleric. I'm hoping I don't have any ugly streaks like that for my rogue. ^_^
