Platinum Thread?

I fell and bumped my head a few weeks ago and thought it would be fun to take up tailoring, hoping to make the Halfling Bags at some point in time....gives me something to do while sitting on my thumb before raids.

Took tailoring to 156 / only after I took Brewing to 142.... Looking at the recipe a bit closer, it appears that I now need pottery and smithing. No problem :roll: . Took Pottery to 122, and I believe Smithing is around 127 at the moment. Wrist hurts / Empty Bank Account... Still need to push further into Smithing before I head back to Tailoring.

Enough of my story, on to my question: For the life of me, I can't fine the recipe for the Platinum Thread, which is needed for the bag. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for you assistance.

Platinum Thread is purchased not made. Try Thurgadin.

If you mean simply platinum thread, it is purchased. I know you can get it in Thurgadin, for one. If, however, you mean infused platinum thread, that is made by combining a (purchased) platinum thread with a celestial temper.

I did mean, Platinum Thread... I knew this tread is needed for the next step.... but not knowing where the tread came from, I could not make it to the next step (infused one).

The 2nd poster said it was available in Pok ? I would love to know where... I dont mind using the books to run to Thurg a few extra chances to forage more tufts, but frankly its a pain even as a druid -

port back wherever to sell bags to waiting customers..

Skill at 199 now - successful combine on leatherfoot backpack (8 slot) on my first attempt!

Unless there is an UBER SECRET VENDOR hidden somewhere underneath the world.


I have vendor mined PoK for HOURS , and never seen Silver, Gold, or Platinum thread in standard vendor stock.
