best way to get 120-ish skill?

i worked my way up making woven mandrake roots then headed to EK to farm hq cat pelts. i'm at 96 now and i just discovered the whole velious silk robe stuff after lvls of hunting in velks and giving away the silks...= P i'm wondering if i should keep farming cat pelts or getting silks in velks/cc? after after those trivialize what should i move onto? i'm kind of a rookie at this sort of stuff = )

Definately stick with quivers until you triv them out at 115. The pelts are far easier to farm especially with the pelt upgrader in gukta now. If you feel like grabbing some crystalline silk along the way to break things up a bit, then by all means do it, but save the silk until you triv out quivers. Or if you are in a rush and have plat to dump or can forage then give the silver ribbons a try if you have purchased LoY. The silver ribbons triv around 120 as well so if you want to buy your way there you can. But if money is tight then I would definately advocate destroying the cat populations in EK, NK, and especially Stonebrunt if you can farm safely there.

If your hunting Velks for xp, go crystaline silk. Its not that expensive to make, and any xp is better than none. If anyone else in the group wants the silk, split it with them (don't just take turns looting corpses, that just leads to hard feelings and missed opportunities). Oh, and I'd disagree, I think crystaline silk is alot easier to get in usable quantities than high quality pelts. Every 3rd spider drops 1-8 silk (average about 2), each one is just as useful as any other silk. While the stonebrunt kitties do drop hq quite often, they certainly don't drop HQ every kill and not even every other kill. Also the upgrade quest is 3 for 1, and imho your better off making medium quality into padding for some smith out there (common, everybody knows a smith, right?).

If your not hunting velks for xp...well...either buy HQ cat pelts or farm CC spiders. While they don't drop silk quite as often, they can be killed much faster.
