  • Stormreapers question

    Hi, Bess again.

Wondering what you halfling tailors charge for the Stormreapers pieces. There's just a few of us on Tribunal making them, and I'm always curious as to the market, not only on our server, but on all the servers.

What have you been the most successful selling, and what price points do you set for the various items?

    Thanks in advance!

On Torv, there's such a small market for them, I can barely move any of it.. I usually sell from 3-5k pp per boning used..

Ya know, I've never seen a peice of stormreaper for sale in Fennin Ro. I can't make them yet, but I have no intention of selling any. I will make bags for sell (and charge 7k, if they complain they can go get a tink bag and have a nice day.) I will make armor for guildies and friends, but that would be at cost (plus or minus a few hundred plat, some can afford it, some can't, and sometimes I don't care ).
I think the PoP armors, velious armors, and acrylia have a much better market. There just arn't that many of us Karana worshipers out there who need this armor.
Tailoring, why did I ever start tailoring? *sob*

        4k, 7k, 10k, per BD respectively.

I used to stock all 39 pieces on my trader and charged competitive prices compared to non crafted items that I was competing with. But I didnt make a whole lot of money on the non-visible pieces this way and supply of HQ brute hides became a problem. So I switched to only stocking the visible pieces on a rigid pricing scheme. The exception is the druid belt that I still carry.

The best selling slot is the wrist slot. The best selling series is the paladin armor, far and away. I prolly sell more paladin armor than the other 2 combined.

          :-(

I had a friend of mine, with 250 skill, attempt a belt a couple days ago.
I only managed to scrape up the parts for one combine, so I knew I was tempting fate.

          He failed. :-(

Anyone want to give a poor, unloved druid a belt? Or a shoulder to cry on?

I will not only give you a belt but if you wish lilosh I will sew you a full suit. I have three stacks of HQ brute hides in the bank I stocked up when the bazaar started and ran around grabbing them all.

On my server I have sold one druid piece but that was an ordered piece and i have sold almost a full suit of paly armor.

I am going to put up a couple more pieces this weekend but hate tying up my blue diamonds when I am moving bags still.

I'd love to give you an answer, but on the Luclin server I have sold exactly zero through my trader. Someone gave the the materials for a bunch of attempts, and I make a complete visible set for her. I got a few kpp in appreciation.

                re

Wiggume just wondering do you know why you sell so much pally armor over the others? Only halfling pallys can worship karana right? I sure don't see many halfling pallys running around on my server

                  Humans can as well.

Look around in Qeynos, you will see a temple of Karana as well.

My theory is this: (JUST A THEORY TO EXPLAIN A CLEAR PATTERN I SEE)

Most rangers are Tunare worshipers because of advantages that have existed with respect to Tunare quests and crafted bows.

Most druids are Tunare worshipers. Although there are a ton of druids... to offset that, many druids chose to solo elysian armor instead of buying crafted armor. To further limit armor sales, there (in my mind) is roleplay value in creating either an elf, or a halfling druid. Eliminating many potential human druids.

As for paladins, more than half of my paladin customers are human. Not really sure why. People dont like halfling models? Roleplay value of being a human paladin? whatever it is they prolly feel like they lucked out by picking karana cause my armor is WAY cheaper than the Heraldic armor human smiths make

As a Karana Ranger on Xev I was happy to pay 8K for a Stormreapers Chainwoven Mantle. It is one of the nicer shoulder items available. When I got my 8th shawl I thought that the SCM would never sell. Suprise! Sold in 20 minutes for 8K.
