Just by looking at the ingredient to make ribbons, I have a great idea where to get the parts to make em, except for one (or three, as the case may be). Where do you buy or make silver, gold, and platinum ribbons? I have looked over the website for about an hour and a half, and have gone down 6 pages in tailoring and see no mention anywhere on how to aquire these. Thank you

Waaaah, now i want to be able to go to LoY and make the ribbons!! Because right now, tailoring is sixth on my list of seven tradeskills... at least JC you can buy your materials, no matter how expensive....
EDIT: Um. 100p/combine? eep. I think I'll stick with farming griffons.... ^_^ But still, yay for easy skillups?
.......one skillup per six or so combines isn't too unusual under 190 skill.

What server do you play on?? I think I'm switching. ^_^
Actually, baking is by far the cheapest tradeskill to grandmaster. Patty Melts are entirely storebought (you need a non-stick frying pan) and the merc in Shadow Haven (near the Nexus teleport by the bank) sells stacks of meat. Cheese is sold in Jaggedpine (I forget the guys name) and Patty Melts get you to 191. I'm a grandmaster baker and did Misty Thicket Picnics (which is pretty cheap even if you're not a forager, veggies and fruit are easily bought in the bazaar) and the rest of the components are storebought.
It cost me (doing MTPs from 191 to 250) a total of 1997p and 1749 attempts. I had 514 successes (which is 256 picnics) and gained about 300 lbs... i'm the fattest wood elf druid on Drinal. LOL But seriously... selling them at 10p each on Drinal, I made a VERY healthy profit, skilling up my baking skill. Brewing in the 150+ helps with the JumJum Spiced Beer, but even the costs associated with skilling that high in Brewing doing JJSB was minimal.Drinal Server

What's the easiest way to get the dyes for the ribbons? Plant shoots are selling for 20pp-100pp in Bazaar, and I don't see any sylvan berries, lichenclover, etc. for sale (big surprise). Anyone have any advice what the best way to get the dye components en masse is?

Second cheapest. Minotaur Hero Brews to 248 brewing. (Ok, looking at the brewing recipes, those last two points might be pretty pricey, but I've got to imagine that two points of champagne or Kaladim Constitutionals -- and remember, you can sell the corking device for the KCs after you're done -- costs less than several dozen points of MTPs...)Originally posted by phoenicks7Actually, baking is by far the cheapest tradeskill to grandmaster.Velurian
