Honey Berries & Maneater Buds (for Iksar cultural robes)

Does anyone have any information as to which mobs might drop these, or any useful strategies for obtaining them?

My druid took 90 minutes to forage 1 honey berry in dreadlands.

I do not have 2 accounts so cannot leave him there foraging while I do something else.

Any suggestions?

(Honey Berries are foraged items in Dreadlands and Frontier Mountains, Maneater Buds in Swamp of No Hope).

Honeyberries

I'm currently Farming Silks (with xp) in FV, had 3 honeyberries drop off them last night in under an hour.

Honey berries drop off giants (at least) in DL - until now I've not been able to work out what they're for!

They're not a massively common drop but not too rare either - I usually finish off the evening with 4 or 5 but that's with killing anything that moves rather than just farming the giants.

Honey Berrys are easy for me to get. Dreadlands is always highly populated for the better part of the day on Ayonae. I'd expect it to be a universal exp zone. I've been told that Pie tends to drop mainly from Drolvargs and giants. I zone into DL, auction that I am paying 10pp for Honey Berrys. Spam this for about 20 minutes, and walk out with anywhere from one to two stacks. It doesnt hurt to make nice nice with people in the low 40's to ask them to collect it for you. They will most likely be in DL for a few weeks, killing the Pie mobs.

As for Maneater buds. You can forage them in Swamp of No Hope. They also rarely (NEVER) drop from the Man Eating: Vine,Plant,Fern,Shrub, etc. These wander all over the zone. Playing on a loaner druid. I managed to forage a total of two buds with the maxed skill, and get maybe 2 dropped Buds from killing 50+ plants. I would not suggest considering the Maneater dye robes as a possible way to skill up. Othmir Fur drops way more often then buds. You would be better off killing Otters.

Maneater buds are incredibly rare, I remember trying to get one for one of the spell effects quests in PoK, was there for an hour before I got one.

Maneater buds seem to drop off the man eater plants you see in Swamp of No Hope, the drop rate seems to be about 1/3, a bit faster then foraging it.
