What happened to LQ bear?

i know i am not crazy, but i seem to remember LQ bear works in leather padding? It may be that i am using shadeling silk thread instead of spiderling threads. But the shadeling silk thread works on all other pelts.

Is this a bug?

Unfortunately the shadeling silk will only combine with hopper hides.
The spiderling silk however does combine with any pelt/hide.
I farm spiderling silk in Innothule Swamp and LQ hopper hides in Mons Seru. This way if I do come across a merchant with old world pelts I can combine no problem. Had that problem when all I had was shadeling silk from the Lesser Shades in Shadeweavers Thicket.

thanks percy, i have the same problem. Getting 350 shadeling silks for 20 swirling shadows, ugh! Guess i need to keep a stack of spiderling threads in reserve.

One one of the patches is was said that shadling threads would work the same as spiderling silk threads in making leather padding(they would work with old world pelts the same).
