• Narrowing trivial on smaller leatherfoot bags.

I know another thread advised against it, but a monk in my guild is dying for a 100% WR bag. My skill is at 160, and I'm working on acrylia studded. Any ideas on when I should try my first 2 slot bag? BD's are relatively cheap on Kane Bayle. (I've seen them for under 300pp in bazaar) And I have enough tufts.

at 160 skill + mod item why not try the 2 slot bag now? i posted elsewhere about my research that MOST monks i sampled dont carry 8 10 slot 100 wr bags, but rather the average of WR slots btween their bags was in the 30s. and im guessing many monks that cant afford a lot of bags would at least want 1 100% wr bag even if its only 2 slots to hold a weapon or a halas pie etc (although you may want to try the 4 slot pouch if you have good luck with the 2 slotters). if you can afford the BDs, plat thread and the endless foraging for tufts go for it!

I've been approached a couple of times now by monks who inquired about the 2-slot and 4-slot bags. Given the terrible trouble I have getting tufts in any reasonable quantity, I prefer to save them for haversacks, but there's probably a bit of untapped demand there.

As for success rate, I'm 5 for 9 on haversacks with combines at 182-188 skill, and others have reported similar fortunes, so I wouldn't be too wary of trying a bag or two if the cost of a failure isn't going to make you weep.

Leatherfoot Wrist Pouch, Wt: 0.1 2 GIANT slots, trivial >159

Leatherfoot Small Pouch, wt 0.2, 4 GIANT slots, trivial > 187 <=250

Leatherfooot Shoulder Bag, wt 0.4, 6 GIANT slots, trivial >214 <=250

NEW Leatherfoot Backpack, wt 0.5, 8 GIANT slots, trivial >223 <=243

Leatherfoot Haversack, wt 0.6, 10 GIANT slots, trivial >250
I'd go for a small pouch, .2 lbs. My monk would go for that, 4 100% wr giant slots is better than none. At lvl 54 he still uses a Rallic Pack, and his best WR bag is his large soiled 10 slot small size bag.

The 2 slot one I'd pass on, even though it is likely trivial for you already.

Got one of them haversacks made for me, collected and made all the parts, gave them to the halfling whom said he'd made 20 and never failed once... and boom.. fails... bleh. Thankfully he had extra parts and succeeded the second try, though.

I just made my first Backpack and Haversack today. My skill was 211 with out modifier from geerlok. Now that I have done it I will have to collect more supplies.

I just made my first backpack last night on Cazic-Thule with a 159 tailoring skill, was going for the haversack but was so nervous that I accidently put 3 woven furs in the kit instead of 4 I'm thinking of making a few more backpacks to maybe skill up on since it says the trivial is >223 <=243, I'm guessing that means it's somewhere between those two numbers?

I am not sure if the trivs posted are correct?

I have attempted approx 35 leatherfoot shoulderbags and had 4 failures, 2 skillups, and 31 successes.

My skill is currently 189. Half the time I forget to put the geerlok on and to be honest, I fail more on the trivial subcombines and lose the blue diamonds.

So I am not sure if the trivials are at the skills whihc are posted, or maybe the RNG is on my side for a change, but I have had some very good successes considering I am nearly 30 pts below the posted triv.

I have even decided to attempt 3x of the haversacks and cross my fingers!
