  • LoY Cultural Robes - are they really all race wearable?

In the Iksar cultural tailoring recipe section it says that the Iksar cultural robes are wearable by all races.

Is this correct? If not I can forsee a role for myself making such robes as that relatively uncommon thing an iksar tailor. If they are wearable by all races then the market wil be flooded by other races' cultural robes and the price will drop through the floor.

    Robes

Well, the best of the Iksar robes has Extended Affliction III, so if people want that ability, they'll buy your robes, and if you're the only one making them, you can charge whatever you like.

      couple things to say:

      1) it's not likely that prices will drop through the floor just yet. the research words used to make the high end robes are not easy to come by. (i would kill for yaeth's compendium page 25(r) to make the first gnomish robe, but have never seen it after extensive searching; also, it's used in making KEI)

      2) all of the cultural robes are different, so you as an iksar tailor have a corner on the market of the extended affliction III robes... high elves have a corner on the market of reagent conservation III robes... etc, etc.

A thought occured to me last night while trying to find components for my erudite enchanter to play with. Does it seem odd to anyone else that the brand new race of froggies, that does have int caster class, was left out of the robe game?

I wouldn't call these "cultural" robes since "cultural" has always meant that only a certain race/diety combination could wear the armor.

I would stick to calling them "racial" robes since the restriction is only to those who can make them, not wear them. The only wearing restriction is Int Casters only.
