  • Ummmm, pelting question (yeah thats it)

My girlfriend who though no ardent supporter of animal rights has a particular fondness for the Coca~Cola (tm) polar bears.

Um, Do any of you have a suggestion of what I might use in place of bear pelts.

This will relive the painfull brusing of my right shoulder tremendously.

    Yourn Elleron

Backpacks can be made with HQ rockhopper hides which i find are actually easier to get. Hunt the Saurek Hoppers in Shadeweaver's Thicket for them.

I've said it before "No one loves a lizard". Your girlfriend should have no problems with you ganking these guys.

      Thanks for the help.
Of course with the new Gieko ads this may not last too long.
Especially since when I took her to the pet shop to browse, she stopped at the Iguana cages and said" How cute!" . She also totally ignore the bunnys.
      (sigh)

Well, if she is Pelting you while you play, perhaps you could use those "pelts".

I don't know what level you are, but if you can manage it try the rockhopper/sambata cave in Dawn Shroud. Mostly the rockhoppers drop HQ hides, with a slightly lesser number of flawless and superb hides, and rare drops of low and med quality hides (well, at least there arn't as many as flawless and superb). While you may be able to collect HQ hides faster elsewhere, if your a serious tailor you'll bank the superb/flawless hides. If all you ever intend on doing is making backpacks, you can usualy sell these hides and buy about 5 HQ hides for what you get in the Bazaar.
Tailoring, why did I ever start tailoring? *sob*

Meirril, you must have been a very lucky player when you were at the Rockhopper Cave in DSP because I see more Medium and Low Quality Rockhopper Hides than anything else. But I do agree HQ Pelts can be gotten there quite regularly. If you are a Druid, Bard, high level Caster type soloing there is easy. For Melee types it requires a group or alot of down time. Even at level 59 I still have to sit and med after 1 fight against a Rockhopper... and if I get more than one soloing? "/Shout train to zone" comes out of my fingers or if someone's around I ask for help.

Good luck with the Hide hunt Elleron.

Heh, so far my oldest persona is 11.
guess i better stick to poking PB's in the butt with shiny stick.

Lost somewhere near kitty town, trying to find where the 500lb parakeet dropped him.

You might have more luck with the girlfriend if you leave Everfrost for areas where the bears aren't white. Grizzly bears don't have nearly the similarity to the Coca-Cola bears that polar bears do.

East Commonlands would do well for you, and possibly hunting young kodiaks in West Commonlands in a level or two.

Dont forget the Poachers in Jagged Pine. They are in an isolated camp and there is a fair number of them there (14-16). HQ, MQ, LQ, cat, wolf, and bear pelts are their common drop. Sometimes two. All melee, no casters. Good times

                      Got it. Thanks yall.
I can just see approaching a grizzle with the con:
A grizzly bear looks at you amiably. It look like you would have the upper hand. When she walks in and looks at the screen.
i wunner if that amiable is because of being a beastlord or highr level
                      or both.

It's from being a beastlord. You share with druids (and perhaps rangers?) the fact that bears and wolves like you.
