  • shaded hide tunic - where?

Hi guy. I am trying to buy a shaded hide tunic on my server and have been unable to find one does some time now even with offering too much money for them.

I know my tailoring skill is low compared to the 200+ crowd but since the tunic is nodrop I am kind of in a position of try, fail, try again if I want the tunic.

Since no one seems to hunt in Ahkeva or ME anymore I dont see one coming available anytime soon.

Can anyone confirm for sure where the tunic pattern/piece drops? I dont mind mindlessly killing and failing as long as I know I am in the right spot or killing the right things for sure.

I know I have seen wristbands off the robed guys in ME, but I have never seen a tunic personally.

Hey Ligge talk to me in game I would be happy to hunt for the materials with you and do the combine for you....Look for Kamiken/Kamizen on Fennin....if this is the ligge from fennin

The item you are looking for is not quite trivial for me but I should be able to make it within a couple tries if anything....only have 1 mind worm hide currently though and would need more of those....shade silk isn't too hard to come by though so that part is easy...just getting the tunic pattern to drop is a pain.

The shaded tunics (what you folks are referring to as a "pattern" are actually no drop pieces of wearable armor) are a relatively uncommon drop of any of the robe-type mobs in ME or Akheva.

I've seen no method to the madness as to which of the durn spellcasting brats will drop a piece of shaded armor vs which will not, but they DO drop now and then, and as long as you have someone able to stun the things, they're ok xp for the 50-something crowd.

I have made almost one copy of every type of armor (and 4 bracers, 2 cloaks, 3 gorgets) and I can guarantee you they drop in Akheva Ruins. Rarely off any robe there (not stunningly rarely, but in a normal run to, say, the ITV or Shei you might see 1 or 2).

In the end the REAL problems are the stupid mind wurm hides.

        I hates em..

The shaded armor piece (no drop), drops in ME off variousrobes, and Ahkeva of various robes... even the one named (Protector) that paths near the zone... fairly rarely. Eventually, with enough hunting, you'll see all the pieces drop. Most aren't worth making, the tunic and wristbands are nice.. the legs are sellable, but not great statwise. I have not seen or heard of the robes (DA's) in UP dropping any.. i belive they're on a totally seperate table.

As was mentioned.. the mind worm hides are the annoying part. As uncommon as the armor pieces are, the mind worm hides are probably worse. If you can get a decent group together, traps in Akheve seem to be the best drop spots for them. Those worms are a lot easier than those deeper in.. and come in groups of 3 or 4 at a time, so better odds of a drop via sheer number killed. I've never seen one drop in ME, although given the rarity and rng, they might.. i can't confirm it personally.
