Aliens in TS

There are a lot of aliens in Twilight Sea. If you go thru the tunnel in the water to the hidden area they are everywhere.

But, I did learn something the other day. I did farm in Tenebrous Mountain and after breaking the blocks and bricks down to make the bits, I ended up with a total of 12 acrylia studs. Sooo, needless to say the acrylia pieces would definitely be more space efficient since they stack. Now, to find a place where that is where they drop a lot more than the actual blocks and bricks. In TM in 5 hours of time this is what I netted: 5 blocks, 5 large bricks, 6 small bricks and 5 pieces of Acrylia. I was working both caves. I hope this information also helps others. And yes an untwinked 51 magi with their 51 earth pet can solo these easy. And if you have good faction with Katta you can go and sell and bank easily. Next time I go I am definitly going to search out the forge so I can cut them down to pieces right away to save my bank space.

Just remember, after you break them down to Pieces and get 2 pieces per brick, it takes 3 pieces to make them small bricks once again and if you need Bonings, it's probably better to make them Bonings instead of breaking them down to pieces to save space. Bonings also stack.

I have done a little solo farming in Acrylia Caverns and it is not bad as a 61 shaman.

I log on at around 8:30 or 9: pm and farm till about midnight. I have done this for about a week and I average 30 various acrylia drops a night, so on an average night I get a stack of studs for 3 or 4 hours of farming.

Most of the mobs are LB with some Green and some DB and experience is quite bad. Some of the mobs can not be slowed or rooted.

Yeah, I was in a group trying to get shards for the VT key. We had a group or people wasting Grims left and right, I was allowed to loot the acrylia and got lots of drops in the 3 hours we were there. Other than that I camp the 2nd Grim cave in Tenebrous. Laborer's usually drop the most acrylia.. 3 hours a night and I usually come out with about 200-300pp in loot, plus about 10-15 drops of acrylia.

/sigh Last night was a mixed bag for me. Got the Grimling Runner as an add while fighting orefinders so I did get the no drop bag but after 4 hours I only ended up with 4 acrylia studs and 200pp. (Lost 4 pieces and a brick in the forge.)

The best place for acrylia that I've found is Hollowshade Moor. Unfortunately setting things up to farm acrylia will annoy the people who go there to get smithing supplies (I know I used to get annoyed when I saw the state it was in :/).

There are no camps of the grol baku, unless you include the "skull" camps wherein the possible spawns are a darkwing bat, a grol baku soldier or a tormented vah shir. 6 minute spawn time. Probably not what you had in mind. =)

Is it just on Quellious or has there been a general rise in the number of people farming acrylia? It seems like nobody was ever in TM or talking about it and bam, I'm finding 10 - 15 people in the zone.

Try Scarlet

The best place I have found to farm some Acrylia was in Scarlet Desert, in the cave that is north from Grey zone, right in that chasm. Very doable for lvl 57 mage, you can clear the whole spawn (11 mobs if I can recall correctly) without KEI. I averaged about 2 bags worth (10-slot summoned) in about 5 hours there, thats considering that 1 -2 slots will be taken by the stackable pieces. Far better in my experience than AC or TM. Of course it is kinda hard to find the camp unoccupied since there are people that trying to farm some Edifier's Legs there.

I must agree i spent 2 hours killing everything in zone including many of these mobs. i would say 30+ kills and only got 2 drops or acrylia ore.

Maybe it was bad luck on your part or something. I cannot say for certain. In a 2 hour period I would think you would have gotten at least 4 Acrylia Bricks and at least 1 Acrylia Piece. And I would call this the low end. I have seen strings of 5 times in a row that the Grimling Laborer has not dropped Acrylia but I've seen strings of 6, 7, 8 times in a row that she has dropped Acrylia in one form or another.

I have never said that the Grimling Laborer ALWAYS drops Acrylia. But she drops it more commonly than any other mob that I have seen. Do the Grimlings in Acrylia Caverns (AC) or outside the AC zone drop more Acrylia? Perhaps, but those locations are also alot harder to farm for Acrylia. The Grimlings in Tenebrous Mountains turn green pre level 50 except for the Grimling Foreman who is not a common spawn which makes camping them a helluva lot easier than farming in AC or outside the AC zone.

That makes it much better for myself who is a non caster. I don't have to have someone babysit me while camping for the Acrylia. And I don't have to wait 10 to 15 minutes to regen to full HP after killing 1 mob after bandaging up.

Do not go to Tenebrous Mountains and think you will find a lot of Acrylia,

My results:

1 out of 30 Grimling miners drops 1-2 small pieces

1 out of 3 Grimiling Laborers drops some acrilia and this mob only spawns every 15-20 min

Grim Foreman and Geomancers drop none. period. But you still have to kill them to clear the spawn for more miners.

Grol Baku are the only other mob that spawns in zone that drop Arcylia, and their drop rate fluctuates a LOT not to mention you have a LOT more yard trash you need to clear to spawn them.

For less headache. Kill Red-Skinned Bloodtribe guys in Scarlet Desert. They drop Acrylia.

Any thoughts on the Bloodtribesmen in Scarlet Desert for ore? Many are still dark blue at 58 and drop pp too.
