Well, I was reading the post in the primal scream about Undercutters=Lowlife. I read about the guy doing skill ups doing the solstice robes, so I figure I would try it (need one for my druid earring anyway).
So, I get the stuff, make 40 celestial essence.
Buy 2 stacks of silver bars, got them enchanted.
Make the worked chain, 40 attempts, 14 successes, 15 skill ups from 63 to 78. Better success rate than I hoped.
Bought 28 emeralds, imbue 20. Make Blessed tunare dust, 15 success, all trivial.
Make the silks, 15 tries, 2 skill ups from 132 to 134, 9 successes.
Put down around 900pp for 4 each sapphire and ruby. Had guildmate with 250jc and gm trophy combine. 3 out of 4 successful =)
So, I make 3 attempts at the robe. First attempt is a success. Yay!! The next 2 failed combines. No skill points. I am mostly happy.
I have about 60 more silk swatches in the bank.. real easy to farm in EK for me. It's just the 14pp an emerald now for the dust that is going to be the set back. Ah well, I do have a couple kpp in the bank so I will give it another shot tonight. See if I can get some skill ups at least, even if I have few successes.
