I have had a similar run of good luck...but on a much smaller scale. I was stuck at 170 skill for a while. Tried 6 Velium Hound Furs, no skillups. Tried 20 Robes, no skillups. Tried 8 acrylia masks, 1 skillup on the 6th one. Then a friend druid (non-tailor) drops 10 Othmir Hides on me. First try, cap made. Second try, cap made. Third try, failed BUT skill up. Fourth try, failed BUT skill up. Fifth try, failed. I was stoked. So, I saw him again last night and he gave me 8 more hides. Failed, Failed, Failed, Success and Skillup! So, on 9 tries with Othmir, 3 skillups! I realize that 174 (now) skill is pretty low to be watching the skillup rate, but I still think that was AMAZING. I have not seen that good of luck since Pottery pre-nerf!
