Stormrider stuff, how hard to make?

Hi,

As my guildies are farming Bastion of Thunder they occasionally go for Stormriders and said they save skins/hides and blood.
My Tailoring skill is 196 atm and with Geerlock my Acrylia Reinforced combines succeed well over 50 percent.
I know Stormrider stuff is trivial >250. But how hard actually are they? If success rate same as Arctic Wyvern / Ceremonial Solstice Robes, I wont even try combines then.

Any ideas??

I'm fairly sure its around the same trivial as velius armor...I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be since both are trivial > 250.

I have tried only a few PoP items.

For Velious armor, the leathers have a success rate of about 50% at 250 skill. The Othmir Fur has a success rate that seems to be 95% at 250.

For PoP, I've only tried two Nightmare silks (2 for 2), which is not enough to say anything.

I've done about a dozen attempts at storm rider pants. So far I am running at about 50%.

Keep in mind the hard part to farm isnt the blood and skins- you can get those in PoS. The hard part to get hold of is the drops of pure rain(maybe 1 drop an hour if you sit there and try to farm it). I would suggest holding off another 30 skill points at least rather than waste the rain.

There does seem to be some difference in POP combines.

Nightmare robes I'm at around 75% while Stormweave I'm at 0 for 3 and Stormrider I'm at 50%.


That could be bad luck evening out the good luck, but overall I'd say you have a 50% chance for Stormrider at 250.

So, are the stormrider pants the best seller? How about the mantle? I didn't even see it listed.

Any ideas?

Thats quite a different if Velious leathers about 50 percent and Othmir fur like 95 percent at same skill. Both >250. Means that Othmir fur is like 255 perhaps and leathers 270 or more. :P

As far as I know there is no mantle, only visible armor pieces. I am about 90% on Stormrider so far. I only make leggings since they sell so fast.

PS 76 for 76 on Haversacks now. I have never failed once

I don't think it really matters what piece might be the best seller unless they up the drop rate for Drops of Pure Rain significantly. I guess it depends on what server you are, but I've never seen any Rain for sale in the bazaar, and if I'm gonna sit and farm the stuff, it will probably take me months to just equip my own toons, let alone my friends. I don't foresee selling a piece any time soon.

My guess is success rate on the stuff would be 60-75 percent.

Well Ill tell you, try researching a bit. Go to the main page, click on the PoP Drops area and do a search (Ctrl+f) and look for drop of pure rain.

If you learn to be a little more self reliant you'll learn more and keep the forums a bit cleaner.

In the bazaar on E'Ci for the past few days, someone has been trying to sell a drop of pure rain for 5kpp.

I can get more AA points exping hard in the water section of BoT than I will get drops of pure rain. Add to that the fact the drops are used in tailoring, smithing, imbuing for Storms, etc. These are far too rare nad people are more than willing to exploit that.
