Getting to 158 was the natural goal one would expect with EQ Classic. Has anyone seen anything other than Fleeting Quivers that works for advancing further prior to Kunark? I noticed a few people over 158 in the leaderboards.

The highest tailoring items that are truly Classic are Reinforced Leather (at 108).
Wu's armor came out in Kunark (earliest Alla post is May 2001). I'm surprised itt is available in Classic. At 158, the shirt should be the highest Kunark tailoring item.
The Fleeting Quiver was not released even by Kunark (oldest All post is Oct 2001). Again, I;m surprised if it is available.

And, finally, if this was truly classic, you trade skills cap at 100.

Wu's armour is a special case, since the Wu's glove recipe was ingame several months before a set of armour joined it. I assume the idea was to have a craftable Monk glove that was Magic, since there were no Hand to Hand weapons in the game yet and Monks below a certain level could not hit mobs with Hand to Hand that were only damagable with Magic. Since I made Wu's gloves for my Monk somewhere in summer to early fall 1999, the glove were ingame prior to Kunark, although I could not say much about the rest of the armour.

Actually, even if recipes don't show up on your list, they're still there.

For example, you can brew Fetid Essence with brewing, even though it showed up waaaaay after original EQ. And recipes like leather padding with Rockhopper hides still show on the available recipe listings, even though you have no source for them.

So if you can find the components somewhere, you can make it regardless of when the recipe actually popped up. I know for a fact you can make the whole Wu's set, for example.

FYI I learned that all POTC items except Lotus Pie are available. Therefore you can make Ceremonial Solstice Robes. I have made two already on Fippy, but of course these are expensive for levelling especially with no market for the item until Luclin.

I collected many Terrorantiula silks but Erudite tailoring is still not available for Fippy (we are at Kunark). I do not know if halfling or woodelf cultural is working.

Halfling vale armor is not working yet... at least I cannot do the combines. I'm guessing it is because the Worn Vale Sewing Kit is no longer in game. It was upgraded to the Vale Sewing Kit in DoN according to alla's. The DoN version is combinable now as I have one but I get the error You cannot make this combine because you fail to meet the requirements! The only requirement that I can see is that it requires a Halfling who worships Karana to do the combine in that container which I am. Even have 150+ tailoring skill so know thats not it. Hope they fix this soon cause the newbie gear just isnt cutting it for my wis gear.
