  • Quick question about hides

I'm still low in tailoring, around the 70's, but my bank is already filling up with tailoring supplies. Are any of the LQ or MQ hides are useful past the 70's? I can clear out a few spaces in the ol' bank vault if I don't need those.
    Thanks in advance,

    Cloudchaser,
I'm at 115 and, according to my trivial list, the LQ pelts are done at 26 (patchwork armor) and the MQ at 56 (studded leather).
I'm about to switch from cat pelts to the Wu's Fighting Armor or the Crystalline Armor. I got to 115 making quivers with HQ pelts and, as you know, collected lots of extra MQ and LQ pelts along the way.
I simply continued making the patchwork and studded stuff and sold them for a small profit.
    Hope this helps.

skin all the mq down to LQ, ombine with silks thread, makes leather padder. Leather padding is a component used in getting the blacksmithing for making platemail (skill from 162-188). They sell on the inny server for about 25p each. Or if you take up smithing, you got some stashed for when you get to that lvl.

        Exactly what SirOdie said.

Assuming you are not super-rich, and going high in Tailoring, start extracting money from whatever you can now.

You will need a healthy bankroll. Having that will save you time, and a fair bit of boredom.

Aye. There will always be a small market for Leather Padding, so LQ and MQ pelts will continue to be in demand.

Oatman did say something inaccurate - low quality pelts have nothing to do with patchwork armor, and if you didn't want to use them for leather padding they could be used to advance slightly further than patchwork by making bags.

But that doesn't apply to your > 70 skill question.

So basically, you wont need the LQ or MQ pelts for your tailoring beyond 70, but as stated before.... convert all your MQ to LQ and make the padding... thats what im doing... but i will be keeping it for when i begin to make Plate, i dont want to have to pay 25p and up for padding....

Ahh, padding. . great! I get rid of all those pelts AND make a bit of spare cash. I'll go do. . . um. . . wait.
Ugh. . . I just took all my silk threads and turned them into cords. Oh well, I just made level 52, so the spiderlings aren't exactly tough opponents ;-)
                Thanks for the suggestions!
