What's the point?

Hi, I am a master tailor. I got into tailoring about 2 years ago and was very excited about the skill ups and making armor and the competition in the bazaar....it was really fun for me (not to mention good $$$ for high end symbols)

I took a break from last August until March of this year so I'm just getting into this new expansion and I'm trying to figure out the tradeskills and where to go next. Well, what I'm seeing is there IS nowhere to go with tailoring really. I see a few new weapons that don't even compare to anything droppable now-a-days.

I haven't done anything with tailoring since I've been back because I haven't been able to find anything worth making.

Oh, and I forgot to mention I have about 50 exalted and sublime symbols on my trader that are now selling for about 1/8 the price they used to =( lol

Anyone have any idea what a lil tailor could make that may be useful? If not, what tradeskill do you recommend? I'd like to become an artisan, but instead of overwhelming myself I think i'll just stick to 1 or 2 here and there until I build em up over time. What's a useful tradeskill now??

Hand Made Backpacks

I make and sell Hand Made Backpacks, both colored and uncolored. They don't require a lots of skill, but it is nice to make something that never fails.

Unfortunately, after selling backpacks for 4 years, my suplliers in the bazaar and I have finally run out of Bear Skins. Hopefully your server still has some in stock.

The only SoD recipies that sell IMO are the Timeless food and drink ones.:-(

lol, so, not much point to tailoring anymore. I make backpacks, guess I just really enjoy when someone really wants/needs a product I can make and it doesnt seem like there's much of that out there, especially in tailoring.

I suppose I will just focus on upping my skill in other areas and hope the TS market goes up and eq makes us useful again....ty for your help

I disagree with this, as there are not a lot of 2:1 ratio 450+ HP/mana/endurance items floating around, and certainly no where near as cheap as you can make these, but to each his own.

Tradeskills come and go as money making machines. Because of the choices of how to develop the game, tradeskill items will not be the very top of the line, but given time and effort they can be very beneficial to the casual gamer and at very least give the boost needed to attempt / unlock higher content.
