I don't know all of them, but I find a few groundspawn around the PoP book. And I have gotten these when foraging.

I've found these all over the Misty Thicket zone with clusters near the inside of the wall both north and south of the road, and a fair scattering around the perimeter of the area outside the wall. I can usually collect about 10-15 or so spending 30 minutes running around the zone, foraging as well to get another couple that way. I think there are around 20 or so random spawn points, so after getting most of a stack, do something else for a while until they respawn if you still need more. I had so many brute hides and plains pebbles I gathered these and did my skill-ups in tailoring from 91-115 with imbued studded vale leathers.

Gah I cannot seem to find them!!

Anyone have any more specific info on the spawn spots? I've spent hours cruising Misty; finally, on the third evening, I found ONE spawn, on the south wall past the guards. My foraging is maxed...I even have a foraging machete....and I get very few.

Any help would be much appreciated. I only have a couple hairs left on mah haid and I'm rather fond of those.

I don't believe there are any 'fixed' spawn points. I've probably picked up about 60 or so of these things in my career and it's never been in the same spot twice. The trictiest thing is actually seeing them since visibility is so bad in the Misty Thicket and they blend in with the ground. Maybe try using the viewpoint looking down or using ultravision (from wolf form).

          Good luck!

I would note Sopwiths luck in finding misty acorns at that rate to be EXCEPTIONALLY RARE. Server populations will certainly play a key to your success.

Typically, my experience has been to get about two an hour. So after many different ventures and 8 halflings of different types, I no longer actively look for them. I simply educate the lowbies in the zone about the item and to save it. Then I pop on about the same time each night for a week and buy whatever the lowbies have collected.

Since you dont want them to sell to others, make sure to be polite at all times, offer a fair price and even hand out goodies and buffs (but dont spoil them).

Places I have found the most amounts of acorns in MT is:

The hill just outside the gates. Around the stumps around the hill and near the tree between the goblin camp and the dark elves.

The depression between the PoP book and the path to town. Both down in the swale and around the rim. I found one there last night, as a matter of fact, just by running past.

              Hope that helps.

Another general area...out in front of Runnyeye. Two dips/depressions, check them closely. Acorns haven't been a problem, 6 stacks and 1 stack of oil. Boring as hell, but I just 2 box a druid on each, mash forage. Get bored, go look for 'em with one. Newbies invariably ask for buffs, I tell them to bring me acorns!

To help in finding acorns I do the following.

                    1. Turn the gama to max.
                    2. Forage at night.
                    3. Use some form of ultra-vision.

This way I find out the little green leaf patterns that are the ground spawns show up a lot more easily.

Depending on how many people are in the zone I can normally get 5-6 in 20 minues.
