  • Silk Armor - would be good if we could dye it!

I posted something like this a long time ago (over a year ago i think) but it would be REALLY nice if we could dye raw silk or cured silk armor.... or maybe even leather armor but thats getting my hopes up....

Surely it would not be too much to ask to get VI to add this into a patch sometime..... it would only be a simple color change, nothing else... is that too much to ask??

Me thinks you'll soon know the answer to that....

In Legacy of Ykesha, with DB changes, it might be a simple color selection.

Previously, each different colored piece of something was a different db item. Very intensive.

I have just read the news on monkly-business.com very interesting with the color changes.... but would be interesting to see if you just have to posses the reagent in order to choose the color, or would you have to combine it in a special container.... will be very interesting to see what happens in the near future...

According to the EQ site you have to have a reagent for each piece. You didn't really think it would be THAT easy did you?

Of course not.... nothing in EQ is going to be that easy... but a reagent for each piece should work well.... maybe 2 or 3 reagents for larger pieces like cloaks and tunics? We will just have to wait and see how things go...

              Ykesha Tinting

Actually, I understand the new Ykesha tinting to be a little different.

You aren't dying a piece of armor as we did in the "old days." You're actually tinting a part of your body, so no matter what piece of armor you wear in that slot, it will take on the tinted color.

The examples on the Eqlive site further reinforced this belief. Check them out here: http://everquest.station.sony.com/legacy/f_armordyes.jsp

so now we will be using Body Paint? Thats even more interesting, because when we are on a CR, running through zones completely nekkid, you will still look like same color as your armor!

So it looks like im going to be laughing a lot while playing EQ after LoY comes out... :P
