  • elegant armor broken on combine?

I'm a 300 tailor on the combine (336 with trophy). I went to the tradeskill merchants and bought all the books they had available and scribed them, including "Elegant Erudite Cultural Tailoring". When i search for "elegant" in my Erudite Sewing Kit, i get no results, and when i try to combine the items manually, it tells me "You cannot combine these items in this container type!"

The items i am trying to combine manually are:

    Erud Needle
    Exquisite Silk Robe Template
    Exquisite Spinneret Fluid
    Mythical Filament
    Water Flask
    Pattern for Erudite Tunics
    Ossified Titanium Thread

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or is it known that Elegant armor is broken on the combine?

As a side note, i can see exalted and sublime symbol recipes.

    Thanks,
    Atern

My first hunch is that you're using an old cultural kit. Can you see the other cultural combines in that kit? Elaborate, Ornate, etc.

If not, try making a new sewing kit using the recipe on the main site. That may fix your problem.

      cultural kit

Yes, i'm using an "Erudite Sewing Kit". I can make the other culture armors and symbols in it. Made some elaborate a few days ago, and they are still on my saved list. I can also see them by searching for them.

But I'll try making a new kit when I get off work today. TSS was recently released which made elegant armor and exalted symbols usable, so maybe it made my existing kit no longer usable.

      Thanks,

Aha! I missed it the first go around, but you're on the progression server. Elegant armors are tied to SoF, so you won't be able to make them until SoF is opened on your server.

          ooooh

Ahhh that makes sense now. For some reason i was thinking they were part of TSS. Thanks for your help!

This was also released with SoF but if you can see it, may be worth trying to get a Combine off or two and see if you can get away with it. Then again, technically that would be using an exploit and cause all kinds of headache's for Ngreth. Either way, have fun

Unless you do the quests to gain the pattern books for these, you cannot make them and since the Sublime task requires killing in SOF zones, they cannot make sublime augments (even if they have the 300 skill requirement and have purchased the recipe book so the recipes show up in their sewing kits) until SOF is unlocked.

However, since Exalted require killing in TSS, they should be craftable.
