Q: Template recipe books for elgant armor

Ok, this may sound newbie-ish, but I am at a loss.

Finaly managed to skill up to 300 tailoring. Went to the cultural discoveries historian in PoK. The Elegant High Elven Cultural Tailoring book does show up (and the symbol recipes books too). Bought it. Opened it. Scribed it. Openend sewing kit, but no exquisite template recipes.
Actually I have not got any Superb, Flawless or Equisite templeates in by recipes although I scribed the Elegant and Elaborate books. I do have all the other recipes, up to Excellent quality, but nothing above.

Where is my mistake?

I haven't played with the learnable books of recipes, but which recipes were you expecting? The cultural recipes or the templates?

Based on the name of the book, I would expect to see the cultural armor, not the templates.

Well, I got neither. Not the templates, not the cultural.
With the lower level books it did work, the Intrinsicate book did give me the recipes for fine silk templates and excellent silk templates, but neither the elaborate book nor the elegant book gave me any templates.

There's another NPC that sells the template recipes .. Tailoring or Smithing XII or XIII if I recall correctly. That NPC in PoK is closest to the Library Door.

So you bought and scribed the a book of recipes for Elven cultural and you didn't find any cultural armor recipes in the cultural sewing kit? That seems very odd.

Some things to check...
1. Is it possible you might have used a loom or generic sewing kit? Templates would show up there, but that's not the book you described.
2. Maybe you weren't searching under the correct name for the cultural armor? It's different from the armor templates.
3. Is it possible you did a wide open search which returned more than 200 recipes?

If "Elegant High Elven Cultural Tailoring" book is NOT the correct book to learn the exquisit and flawless template recipes, which is then the correct book to learn those?

Tailored Armor Step XII and Tailored Armor Step XIII .. I don't remember the exact name of the NPC, but is in PoK near the Library door with same NPCs that sell the Racial Cultural Recipe books, in any zone that has them (PoK, Abysmal Sea, Crescent Reach, etc.)

The cultural discoveries merchant sells the recipe book for the Armor combines.

The cultural template merchant (standing in same room) sell the recipe book for the templates. Level XI (11) is the Superb templates and Level XIII (13) is the Exquisite templates.

The cultural armor recipes will only show up in your cultural sewing kit.

Another possibility is that your search was not specific enough to display the recipes you are looking for. If you just searched for template or something common, you will get so many recipes that you exceed the limits of the search and it will not display all the recipes.

Verify that you are in the correct container, have scribed the correct books, and that your search is specific enough to the item you are seeking and it should work.
