Suggestions for farming Flawless Spinneret

...and superb marrow. I'm drowning in flawless silk and flawless pelts, but can't find a reasonably reliable source for flawless spinneret and/or superb marrow.

Assuming I'm in the wrong zone or camping the wrong mob type, I would appreciate some suggestions. I'm farming silk and pelts in Thallasius.

While completing a task for Jonas Skeletal Hand in TBS, I got several flawless and superb drops, including marrow (but not spinnerets) and even one exquisite silk killing the human tribal dudes on Deadbone Reef.

I doubt you are going to find a "reliable" farm for the marrows/spinnerets since they are so rare even on the mobs that can drop them. Unless maybe spiders in the right level range have a greater chance to drop spinnerets? Someone correct me if I am wrong.

The mobs you are hunting to get the silk and pelts are the same ones you want to keep hunting. The marrow and spinnerettes (and loams as well) are much less common. The idea is that the silks and skins can be used to make templates. The templates can be used as a skill-up path. By controlling the spinnerettes/marrow/loams, the amout of armor entering the game can be controlled without blocking the tiered skill-up path.

Note that a lot of the people selling symbols in the bazaar are basing their price off of what they pay for the components. Farming these is hard because of the nature of the drops. So, the price of the items is high, and the price of the end result must be higher to compensate for failures.

By robber barons, I was referring to the price of raw components, not finished symbols. I agree with risk/reward for those who have braved the combines, but not with the gouging of the others. Supply and demand rules....and I hope to supply myself

in a full group in the Vald Pit (east) in a 3 hr camp...6 spinnerettes, after two nights I had a full set of 70-75 augs and 1 on the GF's bard.
