bad luck?

My druid is at 185 with tailoring. Doing pelt and silk combines, triv 196. Started out with 10 pelt combines and got 4 skill ups. Then had 45 silk combines with zero skill ups.

4 skill ups in 55 combines is pretty decent. The fact that you got them all in the first 10 means you had a great run of luck. Hang in there.

Not really at the trivial levels thay Krenayn is working in, that is not that good.

Around 200 trivial, I tihnk the average is about 1 skill up per 5-6 combines and gets worse from there. I could be wrong, been a while since I looked at the numbers for that range.

It just seemed odd that I got skill ups on leather, and none on the silk combines.

From the calculator on the front page, sticking in a few nominal numbers:

185 skill, 196 trivial, 4% mod from trophy and 250 prime stat = 11.5% chance of a skill up or about a 1 in 8.7 chance.

The average number of skill-ups in 54 combines would be 6.

Numbers are a bit closer to the norm than I thought.

As far as the leather versus silk. That bug was fixed a while ago and there is no reason that data field would have been changed in any recent patch.
