Spider Silk

I made a little High Elf Pally on the progressive server, and ever since the latest expansion came out, I have not found a SINGLE spider silk in GFay. I find all kinds of other sorts of silk that I have no idea what they're for, but not plain old spider silk. Is that stuff still dropping? I need to make silk swatches. We have PoK now on that server - maybe EK? She's only 13, but I THINK I can run it.

EK is the place for spider silk! But crag spiders will be tuff at 13 unless twinked:-)
The other silk is used for the new SoF cultural save that also.:-)

I was afraid of that. So Sony got rid of spider silk on the lower end large spiders? Bah!

Nah - she's not twinked - she doesn't even have all her Luclin Newbie Quest armor yet (Don't get me started on the insane dearth of Giant Sylvan Bat Fur...).

I am not sure if the Combine server is up to the SoF expansion yet, but they DO have cultural armor now, so maybe you can make the new stuff.

Woot! I found one on a large spider in EC - er, it's not EC anymore is it. ARGH! - so I guess they are still in the game. 1 more to make a silk swatch!

Is it still possible to tailor the old fashioned way? Or has the new cultural way taken over? I'm kinda old school, and am having a blast rediscovering old quests and stuff on the Progressive server. There is an awesome walkthru of tailoring I saw posted here, and am masochistic enough to want to give it a try.

The new cultural templates and armor are in addition to all of the old recipes except for those they were intended to replace.

You just now have more options for when skilling up.
