I see these all the time on vendors in Kelethin. Pretty sure the newbie quests they are used for are for Woodelves.

            LQ Coyote Pelts

They aren't for any wood elf quests that I know of, and I've done, or helped others do most of the quests in the Kelethin/Felwithe area. I do know that human monks in Freeport need standard Coyote Pelts for their newbie armor (which is a kickass set of newbie armor I might add! I would guess that the LQ Coyote pelts are for one or more of the Freeport newbie armor quests.

Has anyone tried making leather padding with these yet?

Regular coyote pelts can be used to make poison vials. Remind me to check the low quality coyote pelts to see if you can make poison vials next time I do a batch of vials on a pottery wheel.

Too bad you can't do much with the various dire wolf pelts. There's always tons on vendors.

                LQ Coyote

Can't make Leather Padding with them. I put 'em up in Bazaar and all of 'em sold almost right away. Must be good for something ...

What did you price them at?

Edit: looked up the item; they are used for Gnome Pally newbie and Human (Freeport) Shadow newbie armor quests.
