Ok, i talked to the guy and he gave me my book. I didnt get any patterns. I was reading someplace that i got patterns.. And i didnt get a quest for my journeyman book yet. Do i have to be a certain tailoring lvl or something.

Getting patterns

If the guy you are talking about is Dosan Vis'Moor in Neriak, and the book you received was Ancestral Dark Elven Armor, then you need to do a combine with the book to get your patterns.

Components: A Quill, Ancestral Dark Elven Armor, Compacted Backpack, Large Bottle of Ink, Roll of Plain Parchment
In: Book Binding
Yield: 20
Also Returns: A Quill, Ancestral Dark Elven Armor
This combine may only be made by Dark Elves
Notes: The recipe for this item makes 20 of each pattern (40 for wrists) for the appropriate race inside a backpack. The ancestral book ingredient will be consumed the 10th time it is used. (You can repeat the quest for another.)

Can buy all the combine components from the cultural tailoring merchant.
